The Clearsound CL200 for hearing impaired people delivers sound vibrations through bone conduction unlike conventional amplified telephones. By placing the DirectVibeTM at strategic locations on your head, sound vibrations travel through the skeletal structure to the cochlea the speech recognition centre in the brain. In this way a hearing aid user does not have to wear their hearing aid to use the telephone. The CL200 is designed to help people with a hearing loss particularly conductive loss. It also functions as a conventional telephone for people with normal hearing. If you are unable to hear on a conventional telephone or a telephone suitable for use with a hearing aid on the 'T' position the CL200 may help.
