What is an Open Baffle Speaker?

Open-baffle speakers have the driver(s) mounted on a flat baffle (not inside a box). Because the driver is mounted on an open board it allows sound waves to radiatefreely on both sides of the driver pushing sound forwards and backwards. Inthis way the sound from the front and rear of the driver is allowed to radiateout into the room. The result is a more natural and open sound.

Open-baffle speakers produce a more natural and transparent sound than a boxed design. Anopen baffle speaker design allows a driver on the baffle to work to extremelimits of its design parameters both upper and lower frequencies.  Unlikeboxed speakers that have limitations and enhancements of certain frequenciesdue to many design factors.

Ourdesign includes baffle side extensions.  These effectively increase thewidth of the baffle so enhancing the bass extension.
